[The morning after all of the inexplicable anger had faded, Ronan feels kind of like a tool.
He knows that he'd initially had Adam's best interests at heart, but when those best interests became tied up in his own pride, in his own anger, it had been hard to really make sense of what he was saying, what he was doing- and before he knew it, they were fighting for days. Ronan had been angrier, and Adam hadn't understood why- or maybe he did, or maybe he just thought that it was normal, or maybe he figured it out by the end- but Ronan couldn't help the rage that pulsed in him literally every time that Adam tried to take a step back and look at the situation.
It was like his rationale- one of the things Ronan admires about him- was suddenly the most infuriating quality he'd ever seen, and Ronan winces when he remembers how Adam had tried to salvage this thing for as long as he could before the explosive finale of their argument and then the avoidance.
It's been just a few days since they've seen one another face to face, but it feels like years, with how close they've grown. That's why, instead of waiting for Adam to come home, Ronan goes to him instead, dropping in on the clinic during one of Adam's shifts, looking a little sheepish, but sure of himself all the same.]
